After much deliberation and quite a few setbacks, I have finally decided to convert some of the content from Hidden Hurt into Kindle books.
My reasoning is two-fold:
1) It might help to bring a little income in to Hidden Hurt which would be useful to cover the expenses of running it. These are not excessive, but in the last 10-12 years have been covered almost entirely by me personally, with only a small proportion being funded by book sales via Amazon. Given my current rather dire financial situation , I do need to ensure that Hidden Hurt becomes largely self-supporting, and the alternatives of allowing paid advertising or filling it up with ad-sense would - to my mind at least - detract from the very serious message the site is giving.
2) Converting parts of the site into Kindle books has the advantage of people being able to download certain parts and reading them in private, away from prying eyes, and away from a computer if they just want to go back over some stuff or take it in a little more peacefully or slowly.
The first Kindle book is called "Hidden Hurt Survivor Poetry I" and should be ready to buy and download in about 24 hours.
The 2nd compendium of poems is already in the making and should be available soon.
Other ideas I have had for Kindle books include the following:

Other ideas I have had for Kindle books include the following:
- Various Compendiums of Personal Stories - possibly with some annotations to each story
- A Book on Recovering from Abusive Relationships
- A Closer Look at what living in an abusive relationship is like for those who have experienced it first hand, with lots of personal examples from the survivor stories and our forum contributors
