Hi,
I've been healing from an abusive relationship for the past 12 years. The abuser passed away two years ago and I started counselling. The past two years I have felt stronger and happily single. However, only six weeks ago I met a man who came to my home that evening and has never left. In this short time I have paid for everything including a holiday abroad. This man love bombed me during the first two weeks. He complimented me daily, told me he loves me, gave me expensive gifts, all of which is totally new to me. He drinks consistently. he awakes to beer and drinks until he goes to sleep at night. He is also a cocaine addict. He tells me he is clean but I suspect differently. He is often high energy, fast and chatty, then his personality will switch and he is argumentative and agitated though never aggressive. He likes to try and press my buttons and wind me up. This is cruel as i am Bipolar which I manage very well. He gaslights me and blames me for all his mistakes and mood swings. On holiday I left him after two days when his drinking became a real concern. We split up on our return but he was back after one week. He has yet to get a new job despite offers. He does nothing. He eats all the food, bathes, sleeps, requests sex on his terms only to stop mid way and state he's had enough. I feel that he actually doesn't actually like me. He acts jealous about everything and anything I do or say. He belittles me and he likes to tell anyone who will listen how badly i treat him!. He has paranoia. He is constantly touching his hair and telling me he has been spiked and someone is cutting his hair. He says his ex girlfriend poisoned him. I have found out that he goes to his ex girlfriend regularly despite her having no interest in him. He uses the dog as an excuse. He admitted to going to see her just one week ago. He has stayed in the past 6 days but today says he has a big day planned concerning job hunting. I suspect he is going to see his ex. I want out. Advice welcome. Thank you x
